Today we were lucky enough to have a day off from school! After getting up a little late, we hopped on the bus and over to the bottom of Bukhansan Mountain where we began our trek upward. What a lovely day. The sun was out, the leaves were stunning and the vigorous hike up (and down) the mountain felt great. After a day on the mountain, we joined the rest of the million hikers to a feast of vegetable and seafood pancake, perfectly paired with a lightly carbonated, and somewhat thicker in texture, version of rice wine – otherwise known as Korean Makkoli. All of that mountain air has left us exhausted though. I can’t wait to crawl in to bed.

Loving the pictures guys. You made a good choice in the camera James. It looks more springlike than fall there, unlike here where we are definitely heading towards winter. The upside of that though is the Olympic flame arrives this morning and starts its journey across Canada carried by a wide assortment of people, including a surfer in Tofino! Check out the route on the VANOC website.
One of your photos looks like the Grouse Grind, is that the mountain you climbed?Love your pics and is that the last sunflower, looking so sad.
